2. There are very few miracles for pancreatic cancer. We lost my mother from the same this past summer (same age as Pavarotti, also) and her brother also succumbed to pancreatic cancer a few years ago.

As far as jaundice, there wasn't any noted with her until near the very end when her liver was shutting down (it had metastized from the pancreas mass).

3. Glowing public statements were made following the surgery at a New York Hospital in July, 2006. "Mr. Pavarotti is recovering well and his physicians are encouraged by the physical and emotional resilence of their patient." (CTV news, AP) It is now reported his death was from pancreatic cancer. But all orthodox cancer treatments are life threatening. Therefore, how do we know he died of the cancer? He could have died of the "treatment" or a combination thereof. Only a true and objective autopsy might reveal the truth if it were not compromised. This is another tragic failure of the cancer generals who must be fired. Here is a relevant quotation about the orthodox methods of "treatment" from the scientific paper "Cancer Its Causes, Prevention and Cure" by John P. Dobbins, Sc.D., Cytobiologische Revue No. 3, page 123, 1985, some 22 years ago, and believe me, nothing has changed:
"conventional therapy practiced by licensed diplomate oncologists in the United States has a long history of dismal failure. Dr. Hardin Jones, now deceased, former professor of physiology and medical physics at the University of California, Berkeley, had analyzed cancer statistics for over 30 years until his death 5 years ago. He stated:
'Cancer victims who accepted surgery and other kinds of (standard medical) treatment lived an average of only three years.' Those who refused any type of conventional treatment lived an average of 12 1/2 years (3/4 of their remaining 16 years' normal life span). Prof. Jones further stated: 'My studies have proved conclusively that untreated cancer victims actually live up to four times longer than treated individuals...Radical surgery or chemotherapy does absolutely nothing to prolong the life of a cancer victim...In fact, it appears as if all the conventional medical therapies actually disrupt the survival rate...downwards.'" Some trillion dollars has been squandered on the war on cancer fo the past 30 odd years. This gross institutional failure illustrates why the cancer generals must not only be fired, but charged with scientific misconduct, medical quackery, fraud and crimes against humanity. The genius international singer Luciano Pavarotti is another unfortunate victim of this world wide scam. Any medical personnel receiving money for "treating" him should return the money since they obviously failed. Everyone should always remember the best way to tell a lie is with statistics.

4. At first I thought "I'm not even going to reply to this comment". But then...
Well, here I am, after 3 years from the discovery that I had ovarian cancer, stage III. I'm sure I'm alive today because I had the courage to undergo a radical surgery and months of chemotherapy. I don't think details about my personal case would be interesting, as there are so many different kinds of cancer, but please do remember that this quotation was written 22 years ago.
As for Pavarotti's doctors returning the money they received because they failed: my father also died of cancer, after fighting against it for over 5 years, and I still mentally thank the doctors every time I remember him.

5. I grew up in an Italian family in a house filled with the sound of opera. Madame Butterfly, Puccini,and Mario Lanza were common names from the time I was a little girl. My dad was the opera lover, and two of the highlights of his life were meeting Mario Lanza and hearing Pavarotti in a live concert. I gave my dad and mom tickets to the concert as a gift, and I know it was probably the best gift I ever gave them. My dad didn't live too many years after seeing Pavarotti, but he talked about the thrill of seeing him for a long time. There is no doubt that my dad is in heaven, and I feel so good knowing that he was probably waiting to greet the greatest opera star of all time---"Hi, Luciano, my name is Joe." What a wonderful conversation these two Italian opera lovers will have!

6. In the same way Pavorotti popularized the operatic tradition, I hope his untimely death will serve to popularize the deadly disease that took him. Pancreatic Cancer research is underfunded. It must be better funded if we will ever make stides towards earlier diagnosis, effective treatment, and ultimately, hope. The Maestro was fortunate to have battled out a year of life ... my husband of 48 years succumbed 57 days after diagnosis ... he was looking for a referral to physical therapy for back pain, and that inquiry led to the diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I am a music lover, and a fan of Maestro Pavorotti's art. I hope his brave battle against a much-feared disease will help put pancreatic cancer in the limelight for FUNDING!

7. Unfortunately, no concert tickets will be find for Pavarotti's concerts. Pancreatic cancer, like other types of cancer, is an unforgiving disease. When the hope that cancer can be treated will be transformed into certitude? For the moment, the world deplores Luciano Pavarotti’s death.
